Unfortunately, there is no way within Innago for a landlord to pay the fee for an application on behalf of the prospective tenant.
A lot of the reason for this revolves around the legality of the screening process. The applicant is actually paying the credit bureau for their reports, then consenting to send them to you, the landlord! This is a way for landlords to get screening reports back for applicant and stay within the confines of state laws.
We recommend the following options if you’d like to pay for the application fee:
- Reimburse the applicant outside of Innago
- If you ‘Accept’ the applicant to Innago, you can apply a credit to their first month’s invoice for the cost of the application!
