Renewing a lease in Innago makes it fast and easy to replicate current lease data, including lease terms and tenant details.

In order to renew a lease, you’ll follow these steps:

  1. Visit your Leases and Files page from the main menu located on the left side of your screen.

  2. From here, you’ll select the term that you’d like to renew, and you’ll be taken to a Lease Detail page.

  3. On this page, you’ll click the set of vertical dots located near the top-right corner, then click “Renew”.

From here, you’ll be given the following two options for renewing the lease:

Renew & Extend Lease – An extension of the current lease. No new lease will be created, and the renewal term will be associated with the current term. The key piece of this selection is that the original Security Deposit is carried forward to the renewal term.

Renew w/ New Lease – A new, separate lease. The key piece of this selection is that the original Security Deposit is not carried forward to the renewal term. Typically you’ll use this if there are significant changes to the lease, or if you just want to clearly separate the current term from the renewal term.

After confirming the rental terms and the tenant details, you’ll be able to click “Sign a Document” on the renewed or extended lease’s Lease Detail page in case you need to send out a new document to be signed. For more information on sending out additional documents, please click here.
