How Income Verification Document/File Upload Works
Innago partners with Plaid to provide Income Verification as part of the tenant screening process. Applicants can verify their income in one of three ways:
-
Linking a bank account
-
Connecting a payroll provider
-
Uploading an income document or file
When an applicant uploads a document, Plaid is solely responsible for reviewing and validating that document.
Innago does not manually review, edit, or validate income documents submitted by applicants. We receive the verification results directly from Plaid and display that information within the screening report exactly as it is provided to us.
Questions About Document Verification
Plaid manages all verification processes, including any automated or AI driven review systems used to assess uploaded documents. If you have concerns about how a document was evaluated or validated, we recommend contacting Plaid directly for clarification.
You can reach Plaid’s support team via their web chat here.
Using a Different Verification Method
We understand that landlords may have different screening preferences. If you prefer not to rely on Plaid’s Income Verification Document/File upload results, you may verify an applicant’s income using your own preferred method outside of Innago.
