In some instances a potential tenant may have an application that is pending due to needing a “Manual Review” from TransUnion, our screening partners. Applications will end up in this status if the renter does not have enough credit, public record or demographic information to produce online identity verification questions. Applicants will be notified to contact TransUnion in this case via phone at 833-458-6338 with their application ID.

In cases where TransUnion is unable to complete the identity verification over the phone, TransUnion requests that the renter submit two forms of identity verification. One of the two forms of documents submitted MUST be a government issued valid photo ID and the other MUST be a secondary identity verification document.

The renter should submit their identity verification documents along with their application number to the contact information provided below:

• Fax: 1-800-799-5885

Here are a list of document acceptance standards:

Government issued photo ID’s accepted

  • State issued driver’s license

  • The driver’s license renewal document can be accepted when the document is accompanied with a copy of the expired driver’s license.

  • A temporary driver’s license document can be accepted when the document is accompanied with a copy of the expired driver’s learning permit.

  • State issued driver’s learning permit license

  • State issued identification card

  • Military ID card

  • U.S. Visa

  • Permanent Resident Card (also known as: Form I-551)

  • Employment Authorization Document Card (also known as: Form I-766)

  • Passport (U.S. or Foreign)

  • Passport ID card

  • No other forms of photo identification are accepted at this time.

Secondary identity verification documents accepted:

  • Bank statement – checking, savings, deposit, or hassle-free account. The statement should state checking account, savings account, deposit account, banking account, or hassle-free account.

  • Welcome letter from the bank when an account was just opened. The letter should state checking account, savings account, deposit account, banking account, or hassle-free account.

  • Gas bill

  • Electricity bill (electric or oil heat)

  • Water and/or sewer (sewage) bill

  • Trash/Waste removal, or recycling bill

The secondary identity verification document submitted MUST meet the standards below:

  • Include the name and full address of the renter.

  • Have a company logo, letterhead, or watermark on it.

  • Be recent – within 60 days of the date of the application request.

  • Example: If the application request was made on 1/1/2017, we will accept documents dated only as far back as 11/1/2016.

Documents are typically reviewed and processed within 24-48 business hours. After that time, applicants will access their Innago application again and submit their payment in order for reports to be sent.
