If you would like to create damage reports (also referred to as move-in/move-out checklists), you can easily do so for a new lease term, or an existing lease term by following the instructions below:
Sending Damage Report For A New Lease Term
If you haven’t created the lease term in Innago yet, follow the steps outlined here.
On the last step of the lease term creation process, the Finalize Lease section, be sure to check the box next to Include Damage Report. From here, either select a lease template issue along with the damage report, or select “I don’t need to sign a lease through Innago” to proceed.
Sending Damage Report for Existing Lease Term
1. From the Innago menu on the left, click “Leases and Files”.
2. Select the lease term you’d like to initiate a report for by clicking anywhere within the row that includes its details:
3. You’ll be taken to a Lease Detail page. Near the top-right corner of the screen, click the set of vertical dots as shown below to access the action menu. Click “Initiate Damage Report”. Click “Yes” on the confirmation window pop-up.
View Status of Damage Report
After you’ve sent out a damage report, you can check on the status by returning to the Lease Detail screen. Click “View Status” on the Damage Report section header.
A new side pane will display where you can see whether or not tenants have viewed or signed the document. You can also send reminders or cancel the report by clicking “Remind All” or “Cancel Report”.
For a preview of how the damage report process will appear on the tenant’s end, click here.
Review, Approve, or Reject Damage Report
Once one of your tenants has completed and signed the damage report, you’ll be able to review it from your Lease Detail page by clicking “Review Damage Report”.
From here, a side-pane will open where you can review the report. You can cancel the report, reject the report, or approve & sign it by clicking the appropriate buttons.
After you’ve signed the report, you can always view it again later from your Lease Detail page.
