If your state requires you to store your tenants security deposits in a separate bank account or if you simply wish to avoid your funds from commingling, we can have these funds transferred to you to a separate bank account of your choice. You can select a security deposit bank account by –
To assign a security bank account to an existing property:
1. From the Innago menu on the left, click ‘Properties’.
2. Then select the property to which you’d like to assign a bank account.
3. In the top right corner, click ‘Edit Property’.
4. In the top right corner, click the ‘Settings’ tab.
5. If you have already added a bank account to your Innago account, you can select it here. If not, you can go through the process of adding an account.
6. Click ‘Save Settings’ when finished.
Please Note: This new security deposit bank account setting will only apply to all future security deposit invoices on this property.
To assign a security deposit bank account while creating a new property:
1. From the Innago menu on the left, click ‘Properties’.
2. In the top right corner, click ‘New Property’.
3. Here you can add property details, such as the Address and Property Name.
4. Select the Property Type – apartment, house, duplex, mixed-use or commercial.
5. Enter your unit names and unit details.
6. Once you have filled out these out, hit ‘Next’.
7. Here you will be able to add a Security Deposit Bank Account and an account for all other payments.
8. If you have previously added bank accounts in Innago, you can select a bank account for each of the above. If not, you can go through the process of adding an account.
9. Click ‘Save’ when finished.
